The DirectX system, from Microsoft, has proven to be a dream come true for multimedia software developers from all over the world. In the early days of computing, making a smoothly animated game, screensaver, or other real-time program for Microsoft Windows was pretty much impossible. DirectX changed all of that by simplifying the way that programs interact with the nearly unlimited combination of computer setups possible today.
That is why we at WaveBreak Software have chosen to use the DirectX system in all of the screensavers and games that we produce. This also makes it easier for you, the computer user, to use our software: As long as you have a current version of DirectX installed on your computer, you should have little or no problem running our software.
Below you will find a download link that you can use if you do not have the correct version of DirectX (which, in our case, happens to be DirectX 8.1). Just make sure you read the warning message first, or you may be sorry!

The file below is VERY large (over 24 megabytes)! This means that if you are using a dial-up connection running at 56kB/s, it will take almost one hour to download the entire file. In most cases, it will not be necessary for you to install DirectX. If you are using Windows XP, DirectX 8.1 comes right along with it. If you have purchased computer games on CD-ROM or DVD-ROM in the past, then you have very likely already installed DirectX 8.1 or higher as part of these other programs. Here is an easy way to find out if you need to install DirectX: Choose one of our software products, download it (it will be a much faster download, we promise!), and try running it. If you receive a DirectX error message, then you can return to this page and install it. To repeat: Do not install Microsoft DirectX unless you are sure you really need to! This may save you quite a lot of time, and allow you to get right into our WaveBreaking software programs! |
